Skills Council of Canada and Family Services of Peel Join Forces to Help Job Seekers

Empowering job seekers in Peel Region to reach their full potential.

OTTAWA, ON / ACCESSWIRE / February 16, 2023 / Skills Council of Canada is proud to announce its partnership with Family Services of Peel to expand its network of job-seeker support services and help more Ontarians reach their career goals.

Skills Council of Canada works with employment agencies and community service providers like Family Services of Peel to provide individualized support for job seekers to help them develop their skills and find meaningful employment opportunities This collaboration between the two organizations will provide job seekers with quality employment and career support services, including skills development and training programs, employment counseling, and job placement assistance.

At Skills Council of Canada, we believe in connecting through collaboration and building a network of shared success,” said Kate O’Neil, Vice President of Partnerships for Skills Council of Canada. “Our funded project ‘Breaking Down Barriers – Skills-To-Employment Collaborative Support Ecosystem’ provides access to information, training, and support that can empower people from disadvantaged groups or underrepresented communities to develop the skills and find the opportunities they need to succeed in the workforce.”

Family Services of Peel is a hub of services that allows people to access multiple support services in one place, making the process of job seeking and integration into the workforce smoother. The organization focuses on helping a diverse range of job seekers, including new immigrants, youth, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and people who have been unemployed for an extended period of time.
