Orlando Credit Union Welcomes LaVerne Parchman as New Leader of Human Resources

There is a new leader of Human Resources at Orlando Credit Union (OCU), headquartered in Orlando providing banking branches and services throughout Central Florida extending from Tampa to Daytona. LaVerne Parchman-MHRM, SHRM-SCP, has joined the Executive Team of the organization as Vice President of Human Resources offering her talent, thought leadership, and dedicated commitment for the benefit of members. “We are absolutely thrilled at LaVerne joining Orlando Credit Union,” noted David Duncan, OCU Vice President of Marketing. “There are those moments at work where you get the pleasure of working with someone brimming with integrity, who cares about others and their career well-being … LaVerne brings all of these traits and is infused with a demonstrated sense of purpose in support of people,” added Duncan. 

LaVerne earned her bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Crichton College. She also holds a master’s degree from National University with a concentration in human resources management and personnel administration. Prior to joining Orlando Credit Union LaVerne held human resources leadership positions at organizations including The University of Central Florida, CVS/Caremark, and Hilton Hotels. LaVerne has also served the United States as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps.
