Marriani Clothing Announces its Official Relaunch

The Man, Woman, Person collection is heavily based on imagery and symbols from the Australian aboriginal language (noongar). The designer explains that his infatuation with this language and its symbols came from his many travels to Australia years ago, where he would see these “historic, beautiful, expressive symbols around town and on different artworks.”

“They represent the Marriani ethos perfectly,” he explains. “They remind us that no matter “who we are” or who we aspire to be, we are all just people.”

This newest relaunch brings about nostalgia to its customers and clients, as the pieces focus on aspects of 2000s, high-end, urban, mall fashion. Marriani as a brand has always been inspired by modern, black designers, and Chicago fashion of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Bringing these styles and designs back with a fresh new approach, is an innovative way of paying homage to the designers and brands that have inspired this company’s successes.

“Boutiques, flea markets, thrift stores, and urban shopping malls always felt like a treasure hunt,” Sir Michael Rocks explains. “Searching for unique, quality, premium pieces you wouldn’t see just anywhere. This process of search and discovery taught us why certain things cost certain prices. It also taught us how to mix the higher end stuff with the everyday stuff to create a one of a kind look. We never wanted to be dressed exactly like the mannequin in the store window. To get our hands on pieces that everybody wasn’t wearing was an objective.”
