In an effort to increase its exosome production capacity, enhance its portfolio of protected exosomes engineering technology and expand its growing industry and institutional collaborations leveraging its AI-driven software tools and services, Interactome Bio is expanding its Midwest presence to Portal Innovations in Chicago’s West Loop.

This new research and development facility will provide supplementary support for Interactome’s production and manufacturing headquarters based in Kalamazoo, MI, inside the Western Michigan University, Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine Innovation Center.

The new facility will serve to provide an outlet for attracting top life science talent, augmenting and expanding current biopharma partnerships, and optimizing current efforts related to local collaborative projects with academic institutions.

“Our new home at Portal Innovations in Chicago’s West Loop will play a key role in accelerating our current pipeline via local collaborations and taking advantage of the growing talent pool in the Midwest. Despite opposition from early advisors and colleagues, we have forged ahead to generate a long-lasting footprint in the Midwest. We will continue to do our part to enhance the life sciences ecosystem as interest from venture funds, software engineers, bench top scientists, and every layer of the life sciences machinery considers the Great Lakes Region as a viable option over the well-established West and East coast biotech hubs.” -Adam Koster, CEO, Interactome Bio
