Experiences Canada Announces Deirdre Laframboise as Chief Executive Officer

OTTAWA, ON / ACCESSWIRE / May 8, 2023 / Experiences Canada is pleased to announce that it has named Deirdre Laframboise as Chief Executive Officer. Deirdre brings a wealth of executive management experience and a passion for positive change in the not for profit sector. She succeeds Deborah Morrison, who has accepted a position elsewhere.

Deirdre is a highly respected industry veteran who has led several other national not for profits as Executive Director, including Canadian Climate Forum, the Canadian Water Resources Association and Canadian Organic Growers. Throughout her career, she also co-founded and led ‘Clean Air Champions’; an award winning, internationally renowned youth education not for profit dedicated to inspiring young Canadians to live more sustainable, active and healthy lifestyles. As an Olympic qualified athlete and health and wellness enthusiast, Deirdre served ten years on the Canadian Olympic Committee as both an Executive Member and as a member of the Athletes Advisory Council. She has also served on my national committees and boards in the health, education and sciences sectors. During her free time she enjoys being active outdoors, spending time with family, traveling, gardening and cooking. Deirdre holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies (minor in Biology) and a Master’s degree in Environmental Resources Management (minor in Business Administration).

Deirdre’s appointment concludes a three-month in depth search process completed by members of the Board of Directors.
