The sociology Ph.D., real estate manager, and former professor debuts a new online platform from which she will publicize her ideas and share her press items.

LONGMONT, CO / ACCESSWIRE / February 22, 2023 / It is with great anticipation that sociologist, real estate manager, entrepreneur, and former professor Amy Wilkins announces that her new website is now live and ready to welcome visitors. The site, which can be found at theamywilkins.com, showcases a variety of media related to Amy’s career, including photos, interviews, articles, and a selection of blog entries.

Among the exciting original content spotlighted in the website’s debut is an in-depth interview with Amy conducted by the editorial staff of an online periodical that focuses on industry pioneers and thought leaders. In the piece, Amy Wilkins touches on a wide range of topics; everything from her own personal definition of success to her advice for those who wish to become established professionals. In one notable passage, she discusses what initially led her to pursue sociology as a vocation, citing some unique experiences from her youth. “I moved around a lot throughout Asia when I was growing up and went to three different high schools. I was an outsider, and my experiences in those countries left me really curious about social belonging, inequality, and identities. It took me until graduate school to find sociology, but when I did, I realized that it was the discipline that asked all the right questions and answered them in a way that I found very compelling.”

The new website also features the introductory entries of a blog written by Amy herself. In it, she addresses such topics as important theoretical perspectives in the discipline of sociology and how to properly compile qualitative data.

In addition to all of this, the site also provides a number of ways to get in touch with Amy over social media, whether it be to inquire about her services as a real estate manager, to solicit her expertise on sociological or research-related matters, or just to reach out and say hello.

Reached for comment, Amy Wilkins issued the following statement: “I’m very excited that my new website is now online and operational. The designers did a wonderful job, and I believe it will give people the opportunity to become better acquainted with me and my career.”

About Amy Wilkins:

Amy Wilkins is an expert sociologist, possessing a doctorate in the discipline and having published 20 peer-reviewed articles and a book on the subject.

Amy spent a good portion of her youth in Asia where her interest was piqued by the topics of social belonging, inequality, and identity. Later in life, after navigating her way through graduate school as a single mother, she became a professor for many years, excelling in research, including in-depth interviews, focus groups, contextual inquiry/ethnography, and usability testing. Eventually, she left academia behind in favor of working in the private sector.

Once outside of the post-secondary system, Amy Wilkins began using her research skills to assist startup companies in collecting data. She also volunteered for the Southern California-based nonprofit Hack For LA, an organization that uses a range of tech skills to assist government agencies. Following that, Amy accepted a position as the director of the integrated marketing agency Insight. There, she worked agency-wide to conduct, interpret, and apply consumer and market research insights to develop strategic business insights.

These days, Amy is undertaking a number of different ventures. While still engaging in independent research and providing research consulting services for a roster of clients, she has also partnered with one of her cousins to create a real estate company that purchases properties and manages them for profit. Most recently, Amy Wilkins has become the owner of two e-bike sales, service, and rental stores, assuming the role of general manager at both locations.
