“Sights, Sounds, Stories” is the launch event for Strobia Foundation, a curated event highlighting how Armenians and non-Armenian experience, interact with, and interpret culture and its narrative. The event will take place on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Vertigo in Glendale, CA. An open-flow, daytime event will delight the senses and offer an awe-inspiring multidimensional program.

At the core of Strobia Foundation is the art of creation and community. The organization focuses on keeping the legacy and magic of art alive, with the mission to uplift and amplify artists, creatives, thought-leaders, and innovators globally, helping them reach their full potential. Throughout history, it is the creators and innovators who are celebrated, studied, and remembered, not the critics.

The Keynote will be delivered by world-renowned humanitarian Jane Olson, who has worked as a volunteer for many decades to promote peace and justice through international human rights organizations. Her recent book titled ‘World Citizen’: Journeys of a Humanitarian dedicates Chapter 22 to Armenia dating back to April 1998. We are looking forward to hearing Jane’s incredibly profound stories.

Be captivated by the Jazzical Komitas concert by Joel Martin, a CT-based pianist who has collaborated with and/or written music for Grammy Award winners Alan Menken, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, and many more.

In partnership with Margaret Asatrian, Strobia Foundation is delighted to feature twelve exclusive original pieces specifically for the Sights, Sounds, Stories fundraising event. A talented artist, her pieces spark dialogue and contemplation as she uses her brushstrokes to communicate the emotions of life’s journey.

Emceeing the event is Armen Menechyan, LA-based therapeutic yoga and somatic therapist and owner of Pür Joy in Los Feliz. He recently served as a psychological first aid volunteer at shelters during the 2020 war in Armenia.

Founder Christine Soussa strives to enhance Armenian influence on artists and creators globally. “Creating is the ultimate expression of how we process the world around us. Artists, creatives, advocates and innovators help us synthesize our world.” Our team has worked hard to create a unique, memorable, and awe-inspiring program which will amplify and highlight Armenian Sights, Sounds, and Stories through a multidimensional lens.
