The smart AI-powered food safety system has avoided more than $ 2.6 million worth of food going into landfill since it was launched in 2019.

Phenium, the intelligent cloud-based food safety system, has revealed its impressive sustainability credentials.

Installations reached record highs in 2022, with more than 815 individual items of kitchen equipment optimized. Since refrigeration units produce greenhouse gas emissions, especially during the disposal process, the more equipment Phenium can optimize, the longer these units will last – resulting in fewer emissions and less food waste.

The company now measures 135 million data points, saving nearly 42,000 work hours. Since its launch in 2019, it has saved clients $ 2.6 million in food waste. These impressive statistics mean less food waste in landfill, leading to a healthier, more sustainable world.

Sari Stenfors, co-founder of Phenium, said: “Our system provides long-term value and time-saving capabilities, but most importantly, it reduces food waste and eliminates foodborne illness. As always, our focus is pushing ahead with our integrations to ensure we’re delivering the best food safety solutions for our customers.”
