He recently joined blockchain-powered boxing platform Ready to Fight as a brand ambassador, and spoke about the issues facing up-and-coming boxers, saying: “It’s communication. Communication between fighter and trainer, finding sparring partners, getting the right gym for the fighter, where to train, conditioning coaches, psychologists, doctors etc…”

“My point of view is that today’s technology should be able to provide some kind of platform where athletes can find what they need for their training.”

Within the Ready to Fight ecosystem, Klimas’ wish seems to have been granted. Through the platform; boxers, agents and managers will be able to find an opponent for sparring or a fight, discuss and approve the terms of cooperation. Also, participants can offer their professional services and earn from it.

The team at Ready to Fight has also promised that it will implement and expand the functionality for the boxer’s team with important roles such trainers, psychologists, nutritionists, masseurs and other specialists, as well connecting fighters with appropriate facilities such as training bases, halls, medical centres and many others.

To connect all this together, the platform functions on a social network-style framework, Ready to Fight gives users the ability to connect with one another and earn money through a tokenomics system tied to each fighter’s career progression.

Klimas added: “In December of ‘22, I joined Ready to Fight. The team there have very ambitious goals, to change the world of boxing for the better.

“They can bring together all of us in the same place and provide a platform where we can all communicate and help each other.”

With Oleksander Usyk and his team now being joined by Klimas, as well as a raft of other big-name boxers who are backing Ready to Fight – the platform appears to have momentum.

Usyk has previously said he believes and hopes that other well-known boxers will follow his example and join. With all the media attention and high-profile names attaching themselves to the project, Ready to Fight’s promise of it being a truly a one-of-a-kind ecosystem that will make the world boxing industry more modern seems to be one they’re keeping.

It has promised ambition in regards to reshaping a boxing landscape that can be just as hostile outside the ring as it is in – through a community that engenders support and the trade of services.
